Affiliate Disclosure
How WaterDecoded earns, and how it affects what we recommend.
WaterDecoded takes part in affiliate programs. When you click a link on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These partnerships fund the site and keep it running. They do not influence our assessments, our recommendations, or how we evaluate any system.
Programs we take part in
Amazon Associates. WaterDecoded is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Geniuslink. We route our affiliate links through Geniuslink, which manages them and sends readers to their local storefront where one applies. This does not change the price you pay or the systems we recommend.
Manufacturer programs. We link to whole-home water-treatment brands, including SpringWell and Aquasana, and may earn a commission through their affiliate programs. For high-ticket systems we often link to the manufacturer directly, because the price or the terms are frequently better for you there than on a marketplace.
How this affects our content
It does not. Our conclusions are reached independently of any affiliate relationship. We recommend a system based on the problem it solves and the home it fits, not on which program pays the most. When a system has a real limitation, we state it plainly. Where a system is not certified to a particular standard, we say so rather than imply otherwise.
We sometimes point you to one seller over another when it saves you money. When a system costs less bought directly from the manufacturer, or is sold only there, we say so and link accordingly. The goal is the right purchase for your water, not the largest commission for us.
WaterDecoded runs no ads, no sponsored posts, and no paid placements.
